According to the company, together with Repsol and Banco Santander, with which it has established agreements regarding this new service, Uber Green is already available in Spain from 12:00 this Friday, making Madrid the 61st city in Europe where Uber offers this service.
The launch event was attended by the President of the Community, Isabel Díaz-Ayuso, the Ministers of Economy and Environment and various institutions.

Thus, VTC and taxi drivers who work with Uber will have a discount of up to 21% on Repsol's public electricity supply subscription contracts to recharge on Repsol's public electric charging infrastructure network.

Furthermore, if drivers choose to install a charging point at home, Repsol will offer a comprehensive solution that guarantees that the electricity is 100% renewable. Repsol offers two free recharges per month at its public charging stations and a 50% discount on the balance in the Waylet app for all Uber drivers who sign up for Repsol's home electricity rate.
For its part, Banco Santander will make available to self-employed drivers programs to acquire electric vehicles in the form of leasing (taxi and VTC) and renting (VTC) under special conditions.
Own section in the Uber application
Uber Green will have a dedicated section in the Uber app. To start a trip with this new service, the user must enter their destination and indicate the pick-up point. The app then displays the minutes remaining until the vehicle arrives at the pick-up point, as well as all the driver's information, photo, and the model and license plate number of the vehicle.
