At that time, being a freelancer in Venezuela was quite a challenge. The main difficulty was getting a fair salary. But on top of that, the deteriorating conditions in the country with constant power and internet outages made things even more difficult.
At that time, Jordan lived in Guarenas, where the situation was relatively better than in other cities, and he managed to find a fairly stable electricity supply and adequate Internet speed, sufficient for working on projects.

Living in Guarenas, Jordan felt stability in his work, found new friends and acquaintances. He started looking for co-working or local IT groups, and that's when he met the WordPress community in Caracas.
Without hesitation, he signed up for the offline meeting. As soon as the event was over, he approached one of the organizers and offered his help. Jordan was eager to help with developing promotional materials, managing social media, and organizing events.
Through subsequent activities, he met people living in neighboring towns.
A few months later, together with other WordPress users in their area, the idea of creating a new Guarenas-Guatire meetup arose and in December 2019 they submitted an application for consideration by the WordPress Community Team.
After receiving the necessary permits, Guarenas-Guatire's team began planning future meetings.
