Walmart lands in the metaverse alongside Roblox: the brand seeks to reach out to young people

Walmart is taking its stores to the metaverse. The American department store is looking to attract young shoppers by offering inspiration and live performances in these new digital spaces with immersive content.
As Walmart reports , Roblox community members will be able to travel through the department store chain's virtual aisles to purchase digital merchandise, watch virtual list of changsha cell phone numbers performances by musical artists, and unlock exclusive interactive content. The global Roblox community is growing to 52 million daily users.
But the American multinational chain is not announcing a single metaverse, but rather the launch of two immersive virtual spaces in the Roblox universe. The first is “Walmart Land,” which will focus on fashion, style, beauty, and entertainment.
In addition, they are launching “Walmart's Universe of Play” , the space dedicated to virtual toys, which, as the company points out, “arrives just in time for Christmas wish lists.”
William White , who is the Chief Marketing Officer of the chain in the United States, says that "We are going big. Creating a community, content, entertainment and games through the launch of Walmart Land and Walmart's Universe of Play."

So we are focusing on creating new content and innovative experiences that excite them.
