3 ways to improve the conversion rate of your email marketing campaigns

Post by suhashini25 »

Conversion rate is one of the most important metrics in email marketing, so you'd do well to monitor it and make sure it's as high as possible (for a brief overview, read here ).

In our previous post we explained what the conversion rate is and why it is so important, but now we will give you some tips on how to improve it, in case your numbers are too low.

We provide you with 3 proven and safe tips on how to improve your conversion rate in a simple way.

Let's get started!

1 – Adopt the double opt-in system
We've said it before, and we'll say it again: if you want to build a truly effective mailing list, there's nothing better than the double opt-in system . What does this term mean?

It is a method to create a list of contacts who are really interested in your content, with the utmost respect for privacy and GDPR : It consists of sending a confirmation security and commodity brokers email list email to your contact so that they can complete their subscription to your newsletter, and thus certify their real interest.

It may seem like a very basic and almost trivial practice, but it is essential to verify that the email address entered in the form is written correctly and that it really belongs to the user.

Adopting double opt-in also guarantees other important advantages:

improves deliverability by significantly reducing spam issues;
create a database with truly interested contacts , as they have consciously made the decision to subscribe to your mailing list and have confirmed it;
increases engagement with recipients , as it allows you to communicate more effectively with a selected rather than random audience.

2 – Create mobile-optimized email campaigns
More and more people are using their smartphones to connect to the Internet, so much so that in March 2017 there was a historic breakthrough in Italy: 9.3 million users used mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) to connect to the Internet, while only 9.1 million have chosen the classic PC (laptop or desktop).

The fact that mobile is the future, or rather the present, is now a reality; that is why we need to optimize emails for both smartphones and tablets : our emails will most likely be read from these devices.

To create effective email campaigns even for mobile devices, here's what we recommend you do:

Choose to use modular structures , easier to view and load;
Choose a legible font and large fonts ;
Highlight Calls to Action and links to make them easier to click;
Keep your Subject short , as they will need to read it from a smartphone or tablet, so keep it to no more than 35 characters;
Use the Header , as it helps the recipient understand the purpose of your email and capture their interest.

3 – Use Autoresponders to automate your email marketing campaigns
Have you heard of email marketing automations or autoresponders ? They both refer to the same thing: email campaigns automatically sent in response to an event or user behavior.

The events that trigger automatic sending are called “triggers” and can be of several types:

Clicks on a particular link or subscription form;
Viewing a page;
Downloading or uploading content;
The purchase of a product or service;
Even just doing nothing, yes you read that right, an inactive customer can be a trigger to capture their interest again.
But how can autoresponders help you improve your conversion rate? This type of mechanism allows you to send follow-up emails automatically , perfectly balanced based on a recipient's action and therefore extremely current and relevant.

What does this mean in simple terms? Your newsletters will be more relevant and help create more conversions.
