Uselessness of the middle position parameter
At first glance, it might seem like the average keyword position score is the big value we get from this report. However, when we open several overviews and sort the keywords by their position from highest to lowest, we find that:
Keyword positions tend to be well over the 100th despite only having 100 places in the search engine.
Often, these further positions contain keywords that are unrelated to our line of business or are grammatically incorrect requests with low volume but affect the weighted average position in the report.

Inaccuracy of keyword position analysis
An even bigger surprise awaits us when we look bulgaria b2b leads at specific keywords. As an example, let's choose the keyword overview of the already known Latvian Kyokušinkai Karate Federation. Let's filter the keyword report for three months (by default) by the highest number of sessions. The fourth most searched keyword in the reporting period is "kyokushinkai". It is definitely a very direct match keyword and we are interested in the site indexing as high as possible for this keyword, but it is only position 58. At the first moment, it may seem that "everything is bad".

However, when we dig into the keyword overview, we see that it has a Countries tab. Clicking on it reveals a completely different picture:
In Latvia, the keyword is indexed in an average of 1.5 positions.
The site has responded to requests in 27 countries where it has appeared far beyond the TOP10.
Most of the requests have been outside Latvia, which is not interesting in the case of the federation.

Google Search Console uses unfiltered data to curate search results. Consequently, they are much broader than those needed to make accurate decisions in a particular region. In contrast, professional paid tools provide filtered and highly specific data that can be used for immediate decision-making. Search console is also less accurate than paid tools, so its reports are very critical to evaluate in order to make decisions about website optimization in general. As a result, if you have read our article up to the summary, then you can surely come to the same conclusion as we did - Google Search Console is surrounded by many myths that give a false impression of this tool. For our part, we would recommend making decisions using only professional tools.
