Where to use tagging?

Examples where it is worth using link tagging:

traffic from social media , which should be divided into three groups: paid traffic, organic traffic from your own posts and the rest,
Google Ads campaigns , where manual and automatic tagging is possible - automatic tagging is recommended,
email campaigns,
offline campaigns - advertisements in leaflets - here it is clear viber database that we will not provide a direct link with UTM, however, a shortened link should be provided in the leaflet, which redirects to the link with the parameter,
various types of banners on external sites .

Errors when using tagging
Don't tag internal links on your site - one of the most serious mistakes. Tagging an internal link will overwrite the traffic source.
Do not use Polish characters and capital letters - GA recognizes upper and lower case letters, so if you mark something once in lower case and once in upper case you will get 2 separate results.
Do not change the tagging structure - changing the structure will make it difficult to do analysis for a longer period of time.
Do not use spaces or special characters - use the underscore character instead.
