Spanish ICT companies are betting on a future based on collaboration and joint innovation

The multinational Claranet has recently joined the Barcelona Digital ICT Cluster as a new member. This is an Innovative Business Group (AEI) made up of start-ups, SMEs and large companies, as well as entities and research groups. This group is managed by the Barcelona Digital Technology Centre (BDigital), an Advanced Technology Centre specialising in the application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).


Along with Claranet, over the last year, other australia telegram users mobile phone number list companies and entities such as the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Doxa Consulting Group, Financial Software, Indra, Nextret, Oracle, among others, have joined the ICT Cluster, which now has 65 members.

The Barcelona Digital ICT Cluster aims, among others, to promote a culture of competitiveness, encourage collaborative projects between its members, support the internationalisation of the Catalan ICT sector and promote the improvement of professional skills. All of this is done through its working groups, organised by specific areas of technology: Social Media, Mobile Applications, Cloud Computing (to which Claranet belongs), Smart City, etc.; in addition to the organisation of networking events, international projection and advice to its members on how to participate in national and European projects of cutting-edge research and ICT applications.

The incorporation of Claranet into the Barcelona Digital ICT Cluster reinforces the position of the Managed Services company in its role as a promoter of ICT technologies in Catalonia and in our country. The General Manager of Claranet, Carles Acero, has expressed his great satisfaction with this agreement, “we believe that we can contribute a great deal of experience to the ICT Cluster and at the same time further enhance the culture of the Cluster based on collaboration and interactions between ICT companies, creating synergies, knowledge and common projects.”

The act of constitution of Claranet as a member of the ICT Cluster took place on May 23 at the offices of Barcelona Digital and was attended by Carles Acero, Managing Director, and Miquel Rodrigo, Commercial Director, on behalf of the Managed Services provider; Carles Fradera, Managing Director, and Patricia Ramiro, Director of the ICT Cluster, on behalf of BDigital.
