How a booking engine works
The first thing you need to know is that the booking engine is part of three fundamental components of a software configuration for accommodations:
Booking Engine (IBE): allows direct bookings on your website and social media.
Channel Manager (CM): for managing your inventory across all your distribution channels.
Property Management System ( PMS ): for managing your reservations and reception activities.
Revenue Management System (RMS) Technology for managing your accommodation rates.
