Automate Your Social Media

Post by Fabiha1030 »

This one is tricky, you still want to send out an occasional live tweet or update, because people have become wise to automated social media posting. But, you can use an automatic suite to post social media updates using a service like HootSuite or Buffer.

Both tools let you know
when your users are online most often and provides you with a way to send updates during those times automatically. This can help save you a significant malta cell phone database amount of time. The truth is, if you’re not tweeting yet, using one of these services is better than nothing at all. You can schedule your tweets and spend an hour once a week inputting the tweets for the week.

One caution, avoid anything that could be potentially scandalous since you can’t foresee the future. Making a benign joke about a sinking ship could create problems for your image if it is scheduled ahead of time, and just happens to get published on a day when cruise line sinks.

Uncluttered Work Space
Your surroundings reflect your state of mind. If you have an office with papers strewn about and tabletops covered in old projects, you need to get organized. A messy office is bad for your mind and will make it too easy for you to get distracted. Get in the habit of keeping the tops of your tables and desk clear of all items. Once you start dropping papers, mail, and other items on top of your desk, it starts to pile up. Keeping your workspace clean and clear will help you to focus on the task at hand and keep you more relaxed.

Organize your bills and projects by getting a file cabinet large enough to keep all of your documents. When you get a bill, put it somewhere where you can deal with it at a later time.

Schedule time once per week to go through your mail,
send out invoices and pay bills. Avoid the temptation to immediately sort through everything and respond to mail as it comes. This can help you free up time and avoid clutter in your office. If you have trouble getting started on your projects make a habit of sitting down for just ten minutes and work on the project before doing anything else. Most times, you will find that after ten minutes you will get into the right frame of mind to continue working.

Organize Your Computer
As well as making sure you keep your paper work in order it’s important to keep on top of your computer’s documents and performance too. Many people clutter their computer desktop with documents they are in the process of working on or may even leave a file they downloaded a few days ago on there. Try to limit your desktop icons to fewer than 10 as all they do is distract you.

Mobile Phones

Many phones now provide a way to send text messages from your computer. It’s faster than with a mobile phone and it allows you to untether your brain from your smartphone. Turn off all of the notifications on your phone that you don’t need to prevent yourself from getting distracted. We live in a society that is constantly calling your attention away from work that matters to deal with petty issues. Don’t succumb, turn off those notifications on your phone and only respond to urgent messages while at work.

You need to be more productive, and you can do

that by simplifying your life, reducing clutter and taking control of the little tasks that eat up your time. Go through your work day and think about all the things that eat up your time.

Make a list and come up with solutions to reduce the impact of these distractions on your daily life. Once you get your life under control, you will find yourself getting more clients and having more time to work on projects.
