The Judea and Samaria Fire and Rescue District is prepared for the stormy weather expected across the country tomorrow.

Judea and Samaria District Commander Tafser Shiko Bar Dov recently completed a situation assessment ahead of the approaching storm "Carmel."
In assessing the situation, the district commander discussed the district's preparedness for the storm.
Among other things, the district commander ordered the reinforcement of the stations with rescuers from the Special Rescue Unit (Hilam)
as well as the readiness of rescue equipment for running water, floods, and road accidents.

The district commander said that past events show how remove background image listening to and implementing safety instructions saves lives, and he is now asking the public to heed the instructions and avoid any action that could endanger lives.

The following are life-saving safety guidelines from the Israel Fire and Rescue Service for the stormy weather:
◻️Avoid heating your home with spiral furnaces that cause deadly fires every winter. Use safe heating devices such as air conditioners or radiators.
◻️Avoid entering underground levels, elevators, and parking lots that may be flooded.
◻️ Starting tonight, strong winds are expected across the country that may cause trees, poles, and various objects to fall. Local authorities should be reported as soon as possible about any hazards that may harm passersby and dangerous objects on roofs, balconies, and gardens should be securely secured.
◻️It is recommended to refrain from non-essential travel or staying in rivers and areas that may be flooded due to the stormy weather.
◻️It is mandatory for drivers to significantly slow down and adapt to road conditions, including fog and strong side winds that may shake the vehicle.

The public is asked to follow and stay updated on the safety instructions on the Israel Fire and Rescue website and on digital channels.

In any case of danger, call 102.
